About DrillFree Nest

DrillFree Nest exists for the half of us who rent. Storage and home upgrades your landlord can't object to — that's the whole idea, and it shapes everything we publish.

Most home advice quietly assumes you own the walls. Drill something, screw something, build something in. Renters get the leftovers: flimsy suction cups, "temporary" products that bond forever, and listicles that never ask how any of it comes back down. We started this site because that gap is where renters lose deposits.

What we do differently

• Removal is a first-class test. A product isn't renter-friendly unless it comes down cleanly. Every guide explains the removal before we recommend the install.
• Honesty about limits. When a popular product is not actually removable, or a mount can't take the weight its listing implies, we say so — including about our own top picks.
• Systems, not shopping lists. Rooms and deposits are systems. Our guides connect install, daily use, removal and repair into one plan.
